Planting for Tomorrow

Every tree planted today helps shape a healthier, greener campus for the future. This video, created at one of McMaster’s tree planting events, encourages students and community members to take part. The story highlights care, collaboration, and environmental responsibility, showing how small acts of planting can grow into lasting change.

Veil Of Resilience

"Veil of Resilience" delves into the lives of Palestinians who, despite enduring immense suffering and loss, continue to carry the weight of resilience like a (wedding) veil, turning grief into strength and dignity. Just as a wedding veil symbolizes sacred union and commitment, Veil of Resilience represents love, honor, and the enduring bond with their land, even in the face of overwhelming affliction.

This visual narrative emblemizes how Palestinians transform pain into power, and loss into love for their land. Veil of Resilience is a collaborative project I directed, which was led by students and recent graduates from OCAD University, united by our commitment to honoring Palestinian identity through art. Inspired by the powerful ways Palestinians respond to grief, with pride, resistance, and a deep love for their land, this work celebrates our culture, language, and history with dignity.

ECHOES OF LOSS.

As olives symbolize hope, tradition, and heritage, our lives, our children's lives have been brutally interrupted. This projection project displays not just children, but only a drop in a sea of infants' and babies' names that have been killed. The soundtrack is intended to immerse you in the struggle of the Palestinian people, who simply seek to exist.
